3. Recording Storage and Cloud Infrastructure

3.1 Where Your Recordings Are Stored

When you record a broadcast or save a recording to the cloud through Canira, your video files are stored on Cloudflare Stream, a third-party video hosting and delivery service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Recordings are stored under Canira's Cloudflare account — not in a personal cloud storage account that you control.

This means Canira has administrative access to all recordings stored on the platform, including the ability to view, manage, and delete video content as necessary for service operation, support, compliance, and enforcement of these policies.

3.2 What Recording Data Includes

Recordings stored on our platform may include:

  • Video and audio content from live broadcasts, including all participants' camera and microphone input
  • Screen share content captured during broadcasts
  • Uploaded videos and pre-recorded content
  • AI-generated clips derived from your recordings
  • Transcripts generated from audio content (using AI speech-to-text services)
  • Metadata including timestamps, duration, file size, and processing status

3.3 Recording Consent for Webinar Participants

When a Host enables recording during a live webinar, all participants are notified that recording is in progress. Attendees' audio and video contributions (if any) may be captured as part of the recording. Hosts are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent from participants before enabling recording features, in accordance with applicable laws.

3.4 Your Control Over Recordings

You can manage your recordings at any time through your My Media:

  • View and play back your recordings
  • Download recordings to your own devices
  • Delete recordings (permanently removed from Cloudflare Stream)
  • Generate clips and transcripts from your recordings

4. AI-Powered Features and Data Processing

4.1 Transcription

Canira uses Cloudflare Workers AI (Whisper) to transcribe audio from your recordings. When you request a transcription, audio is extracted from your video and sent to Cloudflare's AI infrastructure for speech-to-text processing. The resulting transcript and timed segments are stored in your account for clip generation and captioning purposes.

4.2 AI Clip Suggestions

When you use the AI Clip Generator, your transcript text is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to identify engaging moments and generate clip suggestions. This AI analysis processes the text content of your transcript — video content is not analyzed by AI.

4.3 Voiceover Generation

Canira uses ElevenLabs for AI voiceover/text-to-speech generation. When you create a voiceover, your text is sent to ElevenLabs' servers for audio synthesis. ElevenLabs' privacy policy and data handling practices apply to this processing.

4.4 Image Generation

Canira uses Google Gemini for AI image generation. When you generate images through the platform, your text prompts are sent to Google's AI services. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing.

4.5 AI Data Retention

Audio data sent to Cloudflare Workers AI for transcription is processed in real-time and is not retained by Cloudflare after processing is complete. Generated transcripts, captions, and clip metadata are stored in your Canira account until you delete them.

5. SMS/Text Message Communications

If you opt in to receive SMS notifications from Canira, the following terms apply:

5.1 Types of Messages

  • Webinar reminders and start notifications
  • Registration confirmations
  • Important account alerts
  • Service updates (if enabled)

5.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your webinar activity. Typically, you may receive 1-5 messages per webinar event you register for or host.

5.3 Opting Out

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message
  • Updating your preferences in your account settings

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging rates will apply to any messages you receive.

5.4 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are only used for the purposes described in this policy and are shared only with our SMS service provider (Twilio) to deliver messages.
